Creative use of space allows for additional capacity for Grand Valley State University's healthcare and nursing programs

Grand Valley State University partnered with Custer on its newly developed 333 Michigan Avenue location in downtown Grand Rapids.
Our team designed and installed numerous open collaboration spaces, conference rooms, huddle rooms, faculty offices, an office for the president, and privacy walls throughout this invigorating new space.
Working closely with GVSU and Pioneer Construction, the collective goal for the space was to provide the students with multiple choices of where they could collaborate with one another.
The intentional design and furniture solutions found throughout the space compliment the aesthetic and architecture of this newly developed building.
Access to sunlight was thoughtfully designed throughout the space by allocating student lounge areas along the perimeter of the building.
Student collaboration in these somewhat non-traditional learning areas was made possible through integrated power furniture solutions.
Featured products throughout the space include items by Steelcase, Coalesse, Viccarbe, BluDot, Bolia, and West Elm.
