Redesigned space elevates guest experience

The lobby of Calvin University’s Prince Conference Center has recently undergone a significant transformation, breathing new life into a space that was overdue for an update.
As the heart of the hotel and conference center, the lobby is a lively space where guests and students alike congregate. There was only one issue: The space was outdated which contributed to an unwelcoming atmosphere. The goal was to revamp the space to reflect a more refined and inviting hospitality environment.
To achieve this transformation, the old carpeting was replaced with a lighter-colored option. This change helped to brighten up the space, while still incorporating hints of burgundy to honor the school’s colors.
The outdated wallcoverings were removed and replaced with a vibrant, new design from Momentum Wallcovering, which introduced a sense of elegance and a modern touch to the space. The design team focused on creating a space that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional for guests.
We introduced multiple lounge settings, complete with laptop tables, to cater to guests who might need to work or relax for varying lengths of time. The seating arrangements were thoughtfully designed to accommodate different postures, ensuring comfort and functionality for all visitors.
By updating the older features and making thoughtful design choices, the space was transformed into a more inviting and functional area. The introduction of new carpeting, wallcoverings, and lounge areas contributed to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. This enhanced environment is something guests can appreciate, whether they’re attending a conference or just passing through.
